Lip-Syncing to stardome!

This week's WMW comes to us from the fraudulent failures of fresh music past. A gaggle of guys gathered to lip-sync their collective way to stardome. WHO may you be asking? WHAT ARE YOU AN OWL!?  Perhaps you are, which in that case I must apologize to you my feathered friend of fact. You, yes, YOU are about to embark on a journey you likely never thought you'd bark. We're listening to Milli Vanilli today!

Rob and Fab were two german based and  great looking guys that had a super cool unique look. They hit the scene hard in the late 80s, the craze was worldwide. But, not all was right in Vanilli-world... They were two german based and great looking guys that had a VERY unique sound too!  Yeah, and it was all fake.

Isn't that like the greatest accomplishment of a singer?  I think it is.  And they would've gotten away with it too!!!  It's even crazier to think that it was a broken/skipping record playing behind the scenes that foiled their evil plot! I can't imagine how it even got that far. Could you imagine something like this happening today?

I guess the producers/band creators thought that the original voices of Brad Howell and John Davis were sensational, however their looks just weren't quite what they were looking for.  Howell would even go on to be credited as the "Lead singer of Milli Vanilli"  crazy right?

It's hilarious, and a bit sad after the fact watching this. however, it seems John Davis has been a good sport about it, as he performed the song with surviving member Fab Morvan who actually did move on to become a pretty decent musician!  And you know what?  Good for him!
