My Identity: In Darkness

 

Welcome to day 2 of Wacky MUSIC WEEK!!  We're back with a little bit of an ID4 reference!  Remember when Will Smith rescued the planet from aliens in the 4th of July hit- Independence Day!?  Well, technically Randy Quaid saved earth by sacrificing himself into the alien ship's core, and without Jeff Goldblum uploading a virus into the Alien ship's computers (using an iMac laptop!) we'd likely be enslaved to Martians!!

OMG, where was I?  OH YES!! Identity 4 was released in 1998, and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with track 12 on this compilation!  It's called "In Darkness" by Alastis!  Who's Alastis you may ask!  No idea, but they're great!  The immediate ((GONG)) of the bell sets the tone and you know you're in for a dark reckoning!

 I should probably put on some more Alastis to see if the rest of their discography is as good as this one song. It's the ONLY track I've ever heard of theirs as they never returned to the Identity CD's after this!  But damn it if that ((GONG)) sound isn't awesome!

BACK FOR WMW day 3 in 24 hours!! HANG TIGHT, it's gonna be a BUMPY RIDE!!

BONUS TRACK:  Aww heck, it's only Monday but I wanted to bop over and share another tune, this one is by NEVERMORE, the incredible track is called "The Seven Tongue's of GOD!" It was a part of Identity 3, released just one year before ID4!  Freakin' stellar romp, with killer riffs and a badass chorus!!  THOUGHT I'D SHARE!!
