My Identity: Into the Pentagram

 

Hey, it's WEDNESDAY!!  We're halfway through WACKY MUSIC WEEK!!  So I guess, this is the traditional Wacky Music WEDNESDAY!!  And OMG!!  It's the 100th WMW post! <3  WELCOME TO OUR 100th time getting together for one of these wacky musical overshares!!

So what are we pulling together today?!  Let's see- I'm digging back into Identity II as that was my first foray into this metal journey, and omg- do I have a killer track for you today! WACKY BLACK METAL WEDNESDAY!?!?

Samael's Into the Pentagram

The intro is so insanely powerful, it's like your walking into a boss room in a video game, The mood is ultimately shifted and something epic and massive approaches slowly. Once the guitars and echoing voices accompany you know you're in for a ride.  The vocals are gritty and gravelly chanting your doomed destiny as you approach. 

The song "Into the Pentagram" is rooted in black metal themes of Satanism, death, and the occult, drawing parallels to the death metal of Hellhammer. The term "pentagram" specifically refers to a five-pointed star, a common symbol in witchcraft and Satanic rituals, and the song's title signifies a journey into such forbidden or dark spiritual realms, reflecting the band's early sound and lyrical content. 

I love the drudging guitars, machine gunning at you with a slight nod to black metal. It's a perfect entry level song to Samael and their work! I hope you love it too!!  We'll be back with Wacky Music Week Day 5 tomorrow morning!! Thanks for hanging with me!!
