The Bard's Song
Welcome back to our little campfire this week. It's a Wacky campfire of sorts... You look around and where your fire once was is now a brilliant flaming stage, and where your tent was is now a massive crowd of THOUSANDS OF METAL HEADS and omfg- you're LIVE AT WACKEN!! You're in Germany!! Oh man, what a trip!
Valhalla's a badass song, and a fun tune to hear live I'd imagine, but the first time I'd ever heard "The Bard's Song" I instantly fell in love with Blind Guardian. Their discography is insane, so if you've never heard their best works, stop EVERYTHING right now and go discover their albums! 'Somewhere Far Beyond' is a good starting point!
The Bard's Song is an amazing ballad, great to hear from the album, but IMO, even more fun with the live crowd. I love how they just take over and sing the whole tune! I think seeing this live should be added to my bucket list!!
