Chambea
If you’ve been following Bad Bunny’s rise, you know he’s more than just a global superstar; he’s a cultural shift. BUT... Why on earth would I be writing one of these silly write ups about the dude? I MEAN.... WHY NOT!?! I still remember the first time I heard the AWESOME ENERGY of "Chambea" with an intro from the 16-time WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair!! and how it basically became an anthem for confidence, but there's also something so iconic about the switch-up in "La Romana"—that transition into Dominican dembow never fails to get everyone moving.
Lately, though, it’s been wild seeing his name everywhere for more than just the music. His recent Super Bowl halftime show has sparked some seriously polarized opinions. On one hand, so many of us felt it was a historic, beautiful celebration of Latin culture and pride, especially with him performing almost entirely in Spanish. On the other hand, it’s become a total lightning rod for debate, with some calling it divisive or "un-American." It’s crazy how a performance about love and unity can cause such a stir, but honestly, Benito has always been about staying authentic to his roots, no matter how loud the noise gets.
Not to mention, the dude LOVES video games (retro NES) and pro wrestling! He's even been featured in some pretty high profile matches in the WWE, I mean- check this out right here when he got his 1:1 match with Damien Priest in Puerto Rico!! <3
