Missing at sea
Welcome back to a little lost Wacky Music Wednesday! We're all a little lost these days. Well, maybe just I am, haha! EVERCON is still in the rear mirror, and life is still in front of me, but I'm still a little bit lost this week too. Like, all that planning and obsessing over getting everything just right and now we're a full year away again. A lot of that pressure is off, which is really nice!
But now what? It's like graduating college or ending a HUGE work project. I just have time to reflect and kind of get lost in my thoughts. It's cool, it's transitioning I suppose. Oh! So this song actually came to me after a conversation and recommendation from the kindest co-worker with great musical tastes, I could currently ask for! So this is sort of a JJ2-post of sorts. But here's what he said:
"..... but I thought you would appreciate the weirdness of the song!
'Missing At Sea' - Maggie Bjorklund
This is a ridiculously intriguing atmospheric instrumental song that gives the strong feeling of being lost, just like the title describes. However, the sea in this context is the Bermuda triangle where things aren't quite right. The intro melody is hypnotically weird, and unlike most lead melodies I've heard in a very long time. Absolutely obsessed with this one, score another point for Spotify's Discover weekly playlist!!
And that makes a lot of sense
Especially in June lol"
