Covering Songs like a Battering RAM!

 

This week I'm working my mid-week out of the Fondi office. I don't hate the drive honestly. I get about 2 hours of watching the sunset and always look forward to seeing my lovely co-workers! They're a good bunch.. In addition to all that, I enjoy just rock'n out to various music when I hit that glorious shuffle. But what's this?  Something new!??!

Going into 2026 like a BATTERING RAM!!  Hahah, I freak'n LOVE Iron Savior. You know of them? No? omfg- go listen to some of their work, you won't be disappointed. They're like a mix of Helloween, Gamma Ray, and a dash of Glory Hammer. It's metal, with a sci-fi space theme. A little Iron Maiden, and a little Star Wars!

Of all bands to make a 'covers album' I least expected Iron Savior to cross that line, but heck- they did, and the results are pretty rad!!  Damn, a smattering of 80s pop song, getting the power metal treatment somehow was exactly what the Dr. of WACKYNESS ordered!  Let's dive into some tracks from March's Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy!!

First, we have a crazy fun music video for Michael Sembello's Maniac as performed by Iron Savior!  Freak'n AWESOME!!

I mean, c'mon- how do you not love A-ha's Take on me!?  YES!!!  This is the song, as KANYE intended! hahahaha. oh... oh man, I love this!

What are some killer clash of genre style covers of classic songs you like?  Having an entire Iron Savior album of covers like this has brought me to my happy place!  It's magical, and I hope you have a killer rest of your week!!  Be good, and ROCK ON!!
