Without Chains, Jerry?

Remember back in the late 90s when Alice in Chains broke up. Yeah, man. That was a bummer. They did Tripod (Self Titled album) in 1995 and then just fizzled away. I remember being really sad that one of my favorite bands was calling it quits after only like 4 albums?  Ugh, well, that was 30 years ago, and AIC has re emerged coming out with a few pretty great albums since then, but what about in the middle?  What were those guys up to?

WELL!!  Jerry Cantrell did go the solo route for a bit (and still does) releasing "Boggy Depot" in 1998 and I really liked it!  Did you ever listen to it? It's like... Alice in Chains... a lot really, but something slightly different. :)

Jerry Cantrell - Cut you In

ANYWAY, here's a couple tracks (That I recall getting radio/single releases too!) that I think you'll dig!

Jerry Cantrell - My Song

What are your thoughts? Do you think they're alright? Are they fun side quests for the Alice in Chains legacy or mostly forgettable? Do you work better with a team, or do you want to discover what you're capable of accomplishing on your own?  Tell me you silly little freak!!

RIP - co-founder and lead singer - Layne Stale and drummer Mike Starr. Getting old sucks. :(
