Send me an Angel

The Wizard was one of my fondest memories growing up. One of the first times I went to a movie with friends (no parents!) It was nearly Christmas 1989, and a few chummers wanted to go to see a movie! The local theater was giving out special edition issues of Nintendo Power along with tickets to see the movie. I remember coming home and reading through it like 100 times!  What a fun time!  OH! And, I personally think "The Wizard" still rocks as a fun movie!

Welcome to a WACKY MUSIC WEDNESDAY!  This week we're talking about a pretty rad song that I had ringing in my ears as I left the movie theater. Send me an Angel by Real Life was the best montage song, really! Imagine a couple of teenagers trying to get across the country without any adults finding them. They need a miracle! I think it was this song that made me fall in love with montage scenes in general!

Also, there are literally dozens of pretty great covers of this track. One that I discovered on NAPSTER back in the day! ;) What a nice call-back memory that is. Was by Deadstar Assembly! I still have this on a CD-r somewhere in my storage.

How does one sound incredibly mid 2000s while carrying a 1980's tune? Well, Deadstar Assembly's cover of "Send me an Angel" does this niche perfectly! Enjoy!!

I shall return with more WACKYNESS IN JUST 7 DAYS GAURANTEED!! <3
